M&A guide

Selling your business in South Africa

A clear guide to preparing, finding a buyer and completing a confidential business sale.

    Start with a realistic value

A valuation is a starting point, not an offer. Buyers assess sustainable earnings, contracts, assets and risk. The final transaction value is negotiated and depends on due diligence.

    Agree the mandate and fees

Our mandate has a R45,000 engagement fee and 3% of transaction value payable on close. Agree the scope and written terms before committing.

    Find the right buyer, privately

We approach our closed group of private investors on a no-names basis. Your identity is disclosed only once the relevant parties have signed an NDA.

    Negotiate, verify and complete

We handle financial preparation, negotiation and the legal process. The buyer checks the business during due diligence; completion follows signed agreements and satisfaction of their conditions. Timelines vary by transaction.

Ready to discuss your next chapter?
